Currently, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Italian Republic and the Ministry of Health of Kuwait on cooperation in the fields of health and medical sciences is being finalised. The specific sectors of mutaul interests include transplants of organs in paediatrics filed, children's nephrology and urology, paediatric surgery of high specialization, paediatric haematology, paedriatic oncology and paediatric intensive therapy.  Cooperation activities at the hospital level in some of the above-mentioned  sectors have been initiated already with success between Kuwaiti hospitals and the hospital "Bambin Gesu'" in Rome.
