Agreement for Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation

During the visit in Rome of the Srilankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Bogollagama in April 2007, an agreement between Italy and Sri Lanka for cultural, scientific and technological cooperation has been signed.
This agreement will be in effect after the ratifications exchange.


Cultural initiatives

Due to the absence of an Institute of Italian Culture in this country, all the official cultural initiatives are undertaken and organised by the Embassy.

The Embassy of Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Delhi, is organising a Film Festival from October 22-26, 2007 at the Russian Cultural Centre in Colombo.
