
ITALIAN FESTIVAL: EXHIBITION ON THE TRADITIONAL BALSAMIC VINEGAR OF MODENA

From the 15th to the 30th of May, at the European Commission Representation in Ireland, Dawson Street, 18, Dublin 2, an exhibition will take place on the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. This is one of the events of the Italian Festival, which is currently taking place and aims to promote Italian culture, technologies, tourism and products in Ireland. The Italian Ambassador Lucio Alberto Savoia will attend the opening together with the Director of the European Commission Representation in Ireland, Mr. Martin Territt, the General Secretary of the Banca popolare dell’Emilia-Romagna, Mr. Gian Enrico Venturini, and the Director of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena consortium, Professor Francesco Sottani. During the period of the exhibition, some of the most famous Italian Restaurants in Dublin will offer menus based on the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Ambassador Savoia has expressed great satisfaction with this important event as it pays homage to Italy’s renowned gastronomic tradition, and represents the Italian strategy to further promote all things Italian abroad. Italian food products exported to Ireland recorded a growth of 13,8% in 2006.
