SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION
The only initiative currently being carried out within the framework of scientific cooperation is one promoted by the University of Sassari for the “Institutional Support to the University of Zimbabwe, through the organisation of a Reference Centre for Training and Research on Enteric and Urogenital Pathogens”. The three-year project, which began in 2003, aims at creating reference laboratories within the University of Zimbabwe in Harare and scientific collaboration between the two Universities. Researchers from Zimbabwe are also sent for short training programmes to the University of Sassari in Italy.
