Modern information technology gives me the privilege to greet through the website all those who are interested in Italy or in the Embassy´s services.

    Representation of a country, today more than ever, implies communication of all those elements – social as well as political, economical and cultural - that qualify its identity and its position in the international community. Communication tools allow us to provide updated information, fulfilling the duty of the Public Administration and of all its branches to supply exhaustive and transparent information to the public. We do welcome any relevant and useful suggestion from the users of Italian Embassy Website, in order to provide them with a better quality service.

    Italy and Finland are two very different and at the same time very similar countries: different in their geophysical and historical features, similar in their commitment to democracy, to peaceful coexistence of peoples and cultures as well as to the social dimension of politics.

    Their cooperation on the international scene as well as on the field in difficult areas of the world is breadth and intense. Nevertheless, those who know the two Countries in depth are well aware of the existing potentialities for deepening and widening such cooperation.

    To implement those potentialities in any domain is the main objective of the Italian Embassy in Finland as well as my personal.
