The Italian Embassy in Cairo represents the Italian Republic, its Government and the other national and local constitutional bodies, in all official relations with the highest Egyptian political authorities. Besides, it assists firms, associations, universities and research centers, as well as other important institutions, in their relations with Egypt and its institutions. The bilateral relations between Italy and Egypt are excellent, extremely intensive and varied in all fields from the classical political cooperation (meetings, missions, State visits, international meetings etc.) to the economical commercial cooperation; from the promotion of Italian language and culture to the politics sustaining the development and to the collaboration in the field of research and science. For the complex and flexible task of this highly representative institution and its subsequent activities, the Embassy features diplomats and qualified specialists in different fields of interest, assisted by Italian and local personnel. The consular services (visas, assistance, documents, etc.) are directly supplied by the Consulates.
