--- Co-operation with the Armenian Caritas branch in the field of contrasting trafficking by means of two broad-sighted projects which are at present already completed. The first initiative was aimed at making women, girls, orphans and public opinion in general aware of the risks of trafficking, and to set up local nets of contacts between Authorities and NGO’s, so as to facilitate the information stream. In relation to this topic, conferences and seminars were held, films and documentaries were screened in various Armenian towns. Information leaflets were as well produced. The action plan has also included the organisation of a competition named ‘The Best Poster Open Exhibition’, joined by pupils of the primary schools and the art schools in Gyumry, who were asked to illustrate and represent graphically the issue of trafficking. The second project was specifically devised with the aim of spreading out detailed news about trafficking among the population. To this extent, 101 schools in Yerevan and in the regions of Shirak and Gegharkounik were selected, so as to carry out the informational campaign. A comprehensive number of 579 lessons were given, with a total number of 12.927 attending students in the age of 15-16, plus circa 600 parents. In addition to this 8100 leaflets and 120 posters were handed out in the selected schools.
