Scientific Cooperation
- “Technical Assistance to Makerere University, Faculty of Technology, phase IV”(bi-lateral); 2004-2007 ; 1,815,000 €The Italian Cooperation is supporting the Faculty of Technology of Makerere University working in partnership with the Italian University “La Sapienza” (Rome). It has been a longstanding support which has brought about a number of innovative research initiatives and which will now enter a new phase (up to 2007). The activities will focus on training and research. The expected outcome is improved capacity and increased specialization of research staff and students working on innovative studies for the use of technology in development, four research projects in applied technology and four pilot initiatives (applying the research results).
