BILATERAL RELATIONS

Bilateral relations between Italy and Malaysia are excellent on the political, economic, commercial and cultural level. This is made possible by a solid network of bilateral treaties and agreements (an agreement on scientific cooperation is being negotiated), a widespread appreciation for the “Italian way of life” in the country, a good performance of the Italian companies – in particular in the defence sector – operating in Malaysia. The State visit paid to Italy by the His Majesty The King of Malaysia in June 2003 has further relaunched the relations between the two countries.
