Italian National Day - 3 day festivity in Floriana (The Granaries)

The Italian Embassy in Malta is pleased to inform that the celebrations of the 62^ anniversary of the Italian Republic and the 60^ anniversary of the Italian Constitution will take place on Monday 2nd June 2008 in St Publius Square (The Granaries) in Floriana from 18h30 onwards. The event is open to the public and no invitation is required.

The programme of the event is as follows.

18h30 Traditional and folk Italian songs by “Il Coro del Lunedi’”
19h30 Arrival of H.E. The President of Malta and Mrs Edward Fenech Adami
- Addresses and toasts
- National Anthems
- Overflight of an Italian military helicopter
- Exhibition of Maltese students
- Music by the Vilhena Band Club
- Fireworks  

On 2nd June after 18h00, the famous Italian singer Amedeo Minghi will also be present.

The celebration will be preceded by a two-day festivity on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June that will be held at the same venue (St Publius Square “The Granaries” Floriana), with the presence of various stands of Italian and Maltese products. The venue will be open the public (free of charge) on the three day festivity from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 24.  

The celebrations are organized in collaboration with the Local Council of Floriana and are kindly sponsored by Demajo Group, Ergon Projects Ltd, Farsons Cisk, Forestals Group of Companies, Grimaldi Group, Malta Motorways of the Sea, Selex Communications, UCIM Co Ltd (Agent of FIAT and Alfa Romeo), Virtu Ferries, Corinthia Palace Hotel and Malta International Airport.
