VIII Week of Italian Language in the World

Since 2001, the main event of the strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the promotion of the Italian language has been the "Week of Italian Language in the World”, which is this year dedicated to the theme "The Italian in the Piazza." This is an issue of great symbolic value, identifying the piazza as the real and ideal space in which to celebrate the history of our national and regional identities. The piazza is seen as an architectural space and, at the same time, the scene of all aspects of daily life and a catalyst of the political, social, cultural and artistic activity of the community.

To celebrate this year's edition of the "Week" (20-26 October), the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute propose a dense programme of activities.
