Manufacture

Traditionally Zambia exports raw materials. Incentives have been introduced by the Government in order to stimulate the growth of the manufacturing industry trying to ensure an added value to its exports. Food and beverages industry, together with tobacco industry, are assuming a dominant position. Notwithstanding textile industry, the processing of leather and hides and the transformation of wood are still important.
