Tourism

Tourism is considered one of the main sector since it can ensure economic growth and be a source of employment. Thanks to important advertising campaigns its growth recorded 6,4% in 2004 and 12,1% in 2005. Among the many Zambian attractions are the Victoria Falls, which Zambia shares with Zimbabwe, recognized by UNESCO one of the inalienable heritage of humanity. Many tourists chose Zambia because of the political instability in Zimbabwe. Zambia has also 19 natural parks. In 2005 a total of 669.000 people visited Zambia and 206.000 of them were tourists. Italians who chose to visit Zambia were 4.200.
