A medley of opera pieces and popular arias from Italy
Performed by TIZIANA SCACIGA DELLA SILVA (soprano) LUCA BODINI (tenor) GABRIELE NANI (baritone) DEBORA MORI (pianist)
Italy is home to countless composers and librettists: it has the honour to have created opera and Neapolitan song, musical genres which have become globally renowned from the 1700s. It is no secret that opera’s official language is Italian, to the point that several foreign authors - Mozart to name just one - felt that composing in accordance with classic standards of Italian music melodrama made their work perfect.
Therefore, it could not be in anything else but Italian that these three young already internationally acclaimed singers, soprano Tiziana Scaciga Della Silva, tenor Luca Bodini and baritone Gabriele Nani will perform for this concert accompanied by Maestro Debora Mori at the piano.
A medley of the most significant arias from works by Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, also including the most famous Neapolitan song – “O’ sole mio” – will be a chance to remind us why Italy today still represents a unique point of reference on the international opera scene.
