 “GOLD & SILVER ARCHITECTURE OF DECORATION”

It is with great pleasure that Sartirana Arte Foundation, with the patronage of the Directorate General for Cultural Promotion of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presents two collections of great prestige: one is dedicated to precious ornaments for the body, the other one is dedicated to houseware. The exhibits are made from silver and gold and are signed by the most prestigious names of Italian art and design: from Arnaldo Pomodoro to Fausto Melotti, from Olga Finzi to De Vecchi, only to name a few.

The two collections are connected by the theme “Italian Style: dressing the body and daily life”. They underline the profound and productive link between art and industry which has allowed industriousness and technologic innovation, teamed with entrepreneurial courage of Italian industries, to achieve prestigious goals for all “Made in Italy”, thereby establishing the success of the Italian way of living.

Bahrain is the first stop of an extensive tour planned for the Gulf countries with the purpose of reinforcing the collaboration, exchange and friendly relationship between Italy and the Countries which will welcome this image of the “Bel Paese”.  

The exhibition will be on display at the Art Centre from Thursday 1st to Thursday 8th November 2007. Opening Times:  7.00-8.00pm on opening day, 8.00am-1.00pm & 4.00-8.00pm on other days, Fridays 4.00-8.00pm only.
This event is free of charge and open to the general public.
