I am especially pleased to be able to introduce the new and updated website of the Italian Embassy in Canada.

The renewed site is the result not only of our experiences over the past few years, but also the helpful suggestions of users like yourself and we are very grateful for your input.

Our intention was to create a flexible and efficient tool, containing a wealth of information on Italy, Canada, and the activities of the Embassy, one that can meet the needs of a wide variety of users – from the Italian citizen looking for consular information, to the tourist thinking of vacationing in Italy, the exporter or Canadian investor seeking additional information on our country and legislation pertinent to his activities. All this without forgetting the Italian users and others interested in discovering Canada.

In short, an improved and enhanced site: we edited the texts, making them more concise and direct, but we paid particular attention to the links, to make it easier for users to identify and reach primary sources of information. Our goal is to open a window on various aspects of Italy’s complex reality: to create a One-stop Information Centre on the Italian system, with special attention to the relations between Canada and Italy.

Of course, we remain open to your suggestions: they are invaluable to our commitment to making this site more accessible and helpful to Canadians, Italians and all users.
