The Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing together with the Section of Shanghai represent the driving force behind the cultural initiatives and cooperation between Italy and China and the fundamental reference point of the growing demand of Italian culture coming not only from the Italian community but also and perhaps much more from Chinese people.
Besides organizing cultural events in various fields, art, music, cinema, theatre, dance, fashion, design, photography, literature, publishing etc., the Italian Cultural Institutes in China:
- Offer the opportunity to get to know the Italian language and culture, by orienting people to the different Italian courses in the area, managing libraries as well as educational and editorial material;
- Establish relationships that can promote and integrate Italian artists and cultural institutions in the exchange and production of culture in China;
- Provide information and logistics support to the cultural, public and private, Italian and Chinese operators;
- Support the initiatives that enhance the intercultural dialogue based on the principles of democracy and international solidarity.
