SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT 2008/2009
The Italian government has decided to offer scholarships to young Saudis who are willing to attend Italian language and cultural courses in the Universities for Foreigners of Siena and Perugia, from October 2008 to September 2009. Each scholarship is worth € 700 per month to attend Italian language courses.
The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Wednesday the 18th of June 2008; the process for selecting candidates will start on 28th June.

Announcement
Due to increased visa applications in Summer, the Embassy has extended the period for taking appointments by one extra hour. Thus starting from 1st June 2008, appointments can be taken exclusively by calling our new direct line 4834877 during the working days from 10:00am to 01:00 p.m. The Embassy will switch back to ordinary schedule (10:00 – 12:00) by 15th August.
ATTENTION
As of 1st of June 2008, the Embassy of Italy in Riyadh will open from Saturday to Wednesday.
Opening hours for the public: 10:00am to 01:00pm.
INTERNATIONAL ENERGY FORUM
A Ministerial Meeting of the 11th International Energy Forum was held in Rome from 21 to 22 April 2008 on the theme “Energy Dialogue to Respond to Global Challenges”. The event was preceded by the 3rd International Energy Business Forum open to the participation of the private sector.
The International Energy Forum represents an opportunity of dialogue, since 2000, between producers and consumers countries which was attended in Rome by more than 90 countries discussing about energy security, resources availability, energy investment and sustainable development”.
