The Industrial Sector

During 6-7 March 2004 the Italian minister of industry His Excellency. Antonio Marzano has made an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the ceremony of signing the contract awarded to the Italian-Spanish consortium Eenl-Repsol for the exploration and the production of gas in the Saudi Arabia. During his visit, Mr. Marzano had the opportunity to discuss with his Saudi counterpart ways of promoting the commercial ties with the Kingdom, especially in the insurance industry now open for foreign investment as well as other business opportunities available to the Italian companies to supplement the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify its economic base and means of encouraging the flow of FDI investment from Kingdom to Italy in the pharmaceutical industry and the tourist infrastructure.
