The Health Sector

The visit of the Italian Minister of Health His Excellency Girolamo Sirchia during the period 20-22 February has laid the basis for enhancing the economic cooperation between both countries in the health sector considering the great priority afforded to this sector by the authorities in Saudi Arabia. During the discussions, the Saudi side has indicated a great interest in developing the health industry by encouraging joint private investment in both countries with particular interest in importing medical equipments with advanced technology to equip various Saudi medical infrastructures such as rheumatology units, intensive care units, laboratories, surgery units, first aid units and medical dialysis units. Both parties have also discussed the potential of expanding the cooperation to the Gulf countries level.
