Italian Language Tutorship at the University of Latvia

Italian language courses (for University students) take place at the University of Latvia, where two Italian teachers (Tutors) work. The course is divided into three levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced level.  
In addition to the Italian language courses, students have also access to the periodic screenings of Italian movies.  
Since December, 2001, the Tutors, in collaboration with the University of Siena, have been organizing the CILS exams (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera - Certification of Italian as Foreign Language), whose validity is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  
A well-supplied library with many works of Italian authors and movies from Italian directors is also available for the students.
