Welcome in the Website of the Italian Embassy in Seoul.
With this site we promote a service in three different languages (Italian, English and Korean) in order to offer information about Italy and Korea. Our goal is to support those people, who for different reasons (development of economic and commercial activities, cooperation in the sectors of science and technology, development of relations in the field of culture, art, and involvement in the studies of both languages and cultures) turn to this web site for related information.
Looking back to the past it is wonderful to see how the relationship between Italy and Korea grew strong in the last one hundred and twenty one years. That is the reason why the relationship between the two countries, which is developing dynamically in many fields – political, economic and commercial, scientific and technological and cultural - is based on strong foundations.
This encourages us not only to look to the future with new ambitions, but also, as mentioned above, to work in order to develop this bilateral relationship in all of its components. To the visitors of this site I would like to remind that this is the aim that the Embassy together with the Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Cultural Institute: an aim that all these institutions intend to pursue with trust and determination.
I share this objective in the hope of receiving the collaboration, suggestions and motivation of all the people who are involved and give their contribution to the growth of bonds between Italy and Korea. In particular, I look forward to receiving the contribution of those ones, who are already active in Korea for individual reasons, as representative of Italian firms and commissions, or for a laic or religious commitment.
