ITALY-KOREA S&T COOPERATION

The basic on-going I-K cooperation has been established on last December  2006, with the signature of the 8th Executive Protocol of I-K scientific and technological cooperation (2007-2009)(http://www. esteri.it/MAE/doc/PESTKOREA_2007-2009.rtf), aimed to strengthen the cooperation between the two Countries.
Moreover, on February 2007 Italian and Korean Governments signed in Italy an important agreement in the field of S&T: "The Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of Republic of Korea on cooperation in the field of Science and technology".  

The 8th Protocol includes 16 Projects related to basic research and  technological innovation in several areas:

Information and communication technology (ICT)

Advanced Materials

Energy/Environment


Agriculture and Food Science
Aerospace

Health

Biotechnology

Chemistry

MOUS AND COOPERATION AGREEMENTS

Italy-Korea cooperation has been consolidated in the last decades in several fields of Science and Technology through many MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) or Agreements signed by I-K Institutions.
