Starting from December 9th 2007, Venezuela will change to a new time zone, according to the Official Gazette of November 27, 2007. The clock will be put back half-an-hour on a permanent basis, which puts Venezuela 4 and a half  hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (against the previous 4 hours). With this modification the time difference between Venezuela and Italy will be 5 hours and 30 minutes, and 6 hours and 30 minutes during the Italian legal time (from March to October).
